The Site
The site sells software through affiliate links with currently over 18,000 different titles available in both the direct-purchase and try-before-you-buy formats. Any product sold will generate commission for the site. Google, YPN or other ads can be a secondary source of revenue.
The Script-Database
The site uses a PHP script and a MySQL database. There is a comprehensive Site Admin built into the system to manage product updates and other aspects of the site. Updating can be set to be done automatically or it can be done manually by clicking an update button inside the Admin Area. Search stats are logged and can be viewed from the Admin Area.
All URLs are “statically” generated for search engines. Each product has its own “static” URL. Featured Product, New Products and Top Downloads are displayed on the front page. You can add your favorite news feed as well to show topical news. An Ajax based rating system lets visitors rate individual products.
